This morning, the General Assembly continued the topic of water security and the delegates explained their plans and opinions. Four plans were presented: pear, apple, watermelon, and kiwi. Each group of delegates has spoken their ideas and views. Each project has different priorities and features. Kiwi’s group focused on educating people and a long-term solution. The watermelon group came up with an efficient solution, but more importantly, it was a quick fix solution. The other two groups plan to raise funds and work with each other. In short, these four groups have good plans. The solution to the global water crisis was provided from many angles and aspects.
Although there were disputes and differences among the representatives, the participating countries tried to make agreements on specific issues and potential steps. It was also noted that the delegation of Germany said “we hate you” to the delegation of Ecuador. This morning’s session was a collision of four voices. Hopefully, we will see the results of their collision benefit the world.
